1950's Vintage wedding dress handmade from ivory brocade satin with a rose pattern. This heavy, quality satin shimmers in the light and is absolutely gorgeous. The empire line dress is fitted under the bust and features a stand up stiffened collar that folds over itself at the back. The long sleeves are fitted at the elbows with three darts and finish in a V at the cuff. Each sleeve closes with ten self covered buttons. The skirt falls from under the bust to the floor and closes with a metal zip at the side. The back is just beautiful and has a gathered train that is attached at the base of the back and falls to well below floor length to create a stunning train when you walk. Such a dream! Size 8. This is a handmade garment with no sizing tag. It appears to be around a size 8 but please check the following measurements carefully; Bust: 92cm Waist: 70cm Hips: Free as the skirt is A line and quite full Wrist: 17cm Shoulder tip to shoulder tip across back: 38cm Length of dress from underarm to hem: 128cm. Condition: The condition is very good with just the following issue; The self covered buttons on the sleeves are discoloured (Please see the last photo). I don't think this is super noticeable but they could easily be replaced with pearl buttons or you could take a little fabric off the hem and re-cover them if you really wanted them to be original. I have cleaned the dress and the fabric is in beautiful condition with no staining or marks. Please note..
